Places to Picnic in Portland, ME

Spring has sprung here in Portland, Maine and we couldn't be more excited to start adventuring to our favorite summer spots for a Sisters sandwich picnic!

Here's our list of a few of our favorite spots that we LOVE to hang out at in the warmer months.

First, you'll have to stop at our Monument Square location to pick up your favorite sandwich or salad to go. Did you know you can call or even text your order to us at (207) 536-4932 and it'll be ready when you arrive? That's an ideal way to maximize adventure time!

Once you have your sandwich in hand, you're ready to explore.

Just down the street from us, there are breweries that have amazing outdoor space for you to enjoy a craft brew and your Sisters food! Lone Pine Brewing, for example, allows you to bring your own food in to enjoy at any time! It makes for a fun photo opportunity, too, with their fun beer flights and colorful walls! ;)

We always love to go to Bug Light Park and sit at their picnic tables, enjoying the ocean air and one of the cutest lighthouses Maine has - you can walk right up to it! Oftentimes there are cute puppies and people flying kites, too! What's not to love?

The Eastern Promenade is just a short drive from our deli in Monument Square and brings you up to a beautiful lookout over the ocean. In the distance you can see Spring Point Ledge Light and watch sailors practice their skills. It's the perfect place to set out a blanket, or sit in the comfort of your car.
